The Colorado Construction Industry Premier Event, hosted by the American Subcontractors Association of Colorado, brought the largest gathering to date of the construction industry in the Denver metro area. Attendees represented over 280 construction industry businesses with nearly 1500 in attendance. The Colorado Construction Industry Premier Event was held at Colorado's Ocean Journey on September 21, 1999 from 7 - 11 p.m.

Bob Kinning, ASA President and owner of Expert Mechanical Services, Inc. expressed appreciation to the Premier Sponsors. Bob remarked, "It was the Premier Sponsors that made the event an attractive opportunity for contractor companies and construction industry related businesses to bring their employees and families. In addition, the collective effort of the 12 Event Sponsors provided for the complimentary dessert reception and juice and coffee bar. ASA Colorado is really pleased to host such an event. ASA Colorado is looking at ways we can effectively and positively partner with others in our industry and we see this event as a step in this initiative."

The premise for the Premier Event was one of celebration. The Construction Industry adds a lot to the quality of life in Colorado. And since teamwork and partnership are vital to our industry, the purpose of this event was to provide an opportunity to come together and celebrate with the construction companies who are helping to shape the future of our state. Debra Miller, Executive Director of ASA Colorado commented that, "Our industry represents diversity and includes women and minority owned businesses, family owned businesses, as well as large corporate operations. As an industry we depend on those organizations that supply the construction industry and those who help us meet our financial and business plan goals. Collectively the construction industry and the business associates bring us our homes, places of recreation and worship and state of the art facilities where we work, play and raise our families. The Colorado Construction Industry Premier Event was an opportunity to take time out or our busy schedules and join our peers and families at a social event designed to create new business relationships and enhance existing ones. We are looking forward to next year's industry wide celebration."
